National Park to Sarajevo

This was a long riding day from our accommodation througfh some lovely twistys through to Sarajavo. Early in the day we crossed to border in to Bosnia. Early on it was plain to see bombed out houses from the war in the 90's. It is hard to believe such massive conflict has occurred in such a beautiful place. The roads are in very good order, but there was a much more active police presence. one of the group got pulled over and ticketed for passing on a no passing line and was about to be loaded in to the police car when the van (and interpreter) intervened and he was instead relieved of $100 Euro (about $200 NZ) and sent on his way. Some wonderful views of the mountains and lakes approaching Sarajevo.
